you have downloaded some pix of my SY1 - here is a discription:

it has been modded, so that each (od the two) voices hast a single output.

i bought it back in germany and brought it here to the USA (SC, 29466) - the guy i bought it from did not make ther mod and could not tell me who did. it has been in my posession for a few years, but i never (really) used it so it is in the condition i bought it in (a few dings on the woodwork, the pannel is fine) all the sliders and buttons work with ONE EXCEPTION: it has two volume sliders for each voice - they have been bypassed. i can not rememnber if the "main out" works, but i guess it has also been bypassed during the mod.


i never stumbled over another unit with this mod and (searched, but) i have never found anyone who could do it or remeber someone who could. i have had it with a technician because i wanted to find out how the mod was done, so i could provide it to other SY1 users, but he was not able to find out for sure. but whilst it was open, he resoldered all the modded wirdes and connections, to make sure it would last.

i have been told, that it can do very cool bass-drum hits, that can ever out-boom the TR909 (that is why i bought it :-).

so all in all - it is perfect for studio use - just hook it up to some trigger source - connect the two single outs to you mixer and fire away - the mod is very useful ad will expand the sonic possibilities enormoussly.

if i am not successful in selling it privately, you will get another chance to buy it on ebay - i will let you know. make me your best one-time-offer (i will not tell you that someone else has bet more to make you act, etc.) because that is not fair...
